Responsible AI is how strong leadership shows up in tech.
Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at @IIT Roorkee, engaging with a bright group of students, faculty members, and industry leaders on a topic that is becoming increasingly critical: "Responsible AI and the Future of Work."
We explored what it truly means to build AI systems that are not just smart—but sustainable, inclusive, and trustworthy.
I also participated in a group discussion on "Learning Anew: Evolving from Academic Excellence to Business Impact." It was encouraging to see the students engage so thoughtfully—and how the conversation focused not just on technical skills, but on ethics, integrity, and leadership. A reminder that the leaders of tomorrow will be defined not just by what they know, but by how they lead.
Appreciate all the Professors for making this collaboration between industry and academia so impactful.
Grateful to Jhsd, TIT bokee for the warm welcome, to my fellow panelists, and to HGV Consulting for continuing to champion ethics at the center of innovation and leadership.

Your tech stack doesn’t matter that much.
We hear it all the time—companies looking for engineers who know a specific language or framework, expecting them to hit the ground running. But does mastering one tool really make that much of a difference in the long run?
Not as much as you’d think.
Here’s the truth: a good engineer can learn any framework or language in a few weeks. The key isn’t their familiarity with a specific tool—it’s their attitude, ability to solve problems, understand core engineering principles, and adapt quickly.
Tech evolves, languages come and go, but the ability to learn and apply that knowledge never goes out of style. In fact, focusing too much on a specific tech stack might mean you’re overlooking the kind of engineer who can bring true value—someone who’s flexible, driven, and always curious.
So, does the tech stack really matter? Not as much as the person behind it.
What do you think—should we prioritise adaptability and problem-solving over specific tool expertise?

I didn’t want another line on my CV. I wanted change.
For 25 years, my career was rooted in academia: research, publishing, mentoring.
But I reached a turning point. I didn’t just want to publish findings and move on. I wanted to see them make a real impact.
Take wearables, for example. Some devices don’t work as well for people with darker skin tones. That isn’t just a data point, it’s a real issue that affects health.
Working with companies to improve these algorithms means making technology more equitable and accurate for everyone.
For me, it’s about impact over accolades. Using data science to improve lives, reduce bias, and ensure innovations truly work for the people who rely on them.
Academia gave me a strong foundation. Entrepreneurship gives me freedom, independence, and the chance to make a broader difference.
It’s not just a career shift. It’s a shift in purpose.
